made with almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger egg nogEgg Nog - it's the holiday party staple.

Have you noticed that?  I have. Throughout the endless rounds of holiday parties, there is one staple that I constantly see...

Egg Nog

And it's usually the type poured from a carton.

Are you a fan?

Have you ever had real Egg Nog as compared to the stuff that comes in those tetra packs?

True Egg Nog is nothing like the overly sweetened processed Egg Nog you will find. It is creamy and delicious. (especially when it's spiked!)

Going Dairy Free and Sugar Free

However, with more and more of my clients looking for a dairy free and egg free alternative, and wanting to cut down on the amount of sugar they eat, I put together this delicious dairy alternative Egg Nog recipe.

This is quickest Egg Nog recipe and you'll never go back to those sugar filled processed Egg Nogs ever again!

  1. INGREDIENTS
    Serves 6:
9 cups unsweetened almond milk (you can use coconut milk as well)
1/3 – 1/2 cup maple syrup (adjust up or down according to taste)
    1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
one half tsp ground nutmeg (I love Cha’s organic spices)
    three quarters tsp ground ginger
    ¾ tsp allspice
    1 – 2 oz rum (optional)

EASY PEASY DIRECTIONS!

  • Put all the ingredients (except rum) in a blender and blend for 30-60 seconds.
  • Add rum to taste
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon or garnish with cinnamon stick
  • Serve immediately.

Let me know what you think when you make it!
